Nursing: Each of the nursing programmes has a Common Foundation Programme (CFP) which constitutes the first year of study and provides the basis for further study. After this time, you will study either Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nursing. It is organized in three modules: Nursing education in the United Kingdom Historical development of nursing and health care Nursing practice as a social institution. Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession in which practitioners aim to optimize movement potential in any presenting case using physical, as opposed to pharmacological, methods. Student physiotherapists take a three or four year course which leads to an honours degree (BSc in physiotherapy). Courses are taken at universities and often share part of the study with other health professions. |
