| According to the Bureau of Labor statistics employment for accountants and auditors is projected to grow by 18 percent, faster than the average of all occupations, by 2016. Greater oversight by government agencies, stockholders, and lenders has increased the demand for those with degrees in accounting and finance. The curriculum for an online accounting degree includes financial and managerial accounting, taxation, business law and ethics, auditing and accounting information systems. It also includes basic business courses in finance, marketing, organizational behavior and other business functions.
