BITSAT is a computer-based online entrance test for the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. BITS, a deemed university, is an all-India Institute for advance education. It awards it own degrees. The Institute grants admission for its Integrated First Degree programs on the basis of BITSAT. The BITSAT is common for the Pilani and Goa campus of BITS. BITSAT 2009 a computer based Online Test for admission to Integrated First Degree Programs Semester 2009-09.

The BITSAT 2009 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. Candidates may refer to the NCERT text books for the contents. The syllabus for BITSAT includes:

Maths: Algebra, Trignometry, Two-dimensional Coordinate Geometry, Three dimensional Coordinate Geometry, Differential calculus, Integral calculus, Ordinary Differential Equations, Probability, Vectors, Statistics and Linear Programming.

Physics: Units & Measurement, Kinematics, Newton's Laws of Motion, Impulse and Momentum, Work and Energy, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Oscillations, Waves, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Current, Electromagnetic Induction, Optics and Modern Physics.

Chemistry: States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure, Thermodynamics, Physical and Chemical Equilibria, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Hydrogen and s-block elements and p- d- and f-block elements.

English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning: Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Composition, Verbal Reasoning and Nonverbal Reasoning.
