1.To gain admission onto a graduate course in nursing, you will have to check the specific requirements of your chosen university or college as these tend to vary. Some departments will require a first degree for a full time MSc in nursing. Whereas, others may accept a certain level of qualification and practical experience.

Hi Sandhya,

I have given the admission details of the University of Iowa. Admission is usually very competitive, and meeting minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.

To be considered for admission to the college, students are required to complete the following high school courses:

    * Four years of English.
    * Three years of mathematics, including algebra I, algebra II, and geometry.
    * Three years of science, which must include one full-year course in biology, one full-year course in chemistry, and at least     one semester of physics.
    * Two years of the same foreign language.
    * Three years of social studies.

Also, students must meet college-level prerequisite requirements with a 2.00 GPA or higher in rhetoric, animal biology, psychology, human growth and development, anatomy, microbiology, and inorganic chemistry to be considered for admission.

The application deadline for all students applying for nursing falls semester is April 1.
