The different entrance exam for admission for MBBS in different colleges are:

AIPMT - All India Pre-Medical Test.
JIPMER - Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research.
AIIMS - All India Institute of Medical Science.
BHU PMT - Banaras Hindu University Pre-Medical Test.
MGIMS - Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science.
AIPVT - All India Pre-Veterinary Test.
WBJEE - West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Medical.
AFMC - Armed Forced Medical College Exam.

Hi Tanvi, get me some details regarding the AIIMS College, about the AIIMS entrance exam and its admission details. What is the merit Quota available in the College? Is hostel facilities available?

About AIIMS:
All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.

AIIMS Entrance Exam:
Every year AIIMS holds an all-India entrance test for admission to MBBS programme offered by it. The Institute awards its own MBBS degrees. The MBBS degrees awarded by AIIMS are recognised medical qualifications and entitle the holders same privileges as those attached to the equivalent awards from other Universities of India.

Admission Details:
The Prospectus cum Application form costing Rs.500 inclusive of examination fee can be obtained aganist cash payment from different branches of the State Bank of India.

Merit Details: There will be an intake of students upto 50%, under open merit seats by conducting the AIIMS entrance exam.
