INDIAN economy is in a crisis.. Our country like many other ASIAN countries is undergoing a severe economic crunch. Many INDIAN industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical situation.
More than 30000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages…. etc which are grown, produced and consumed here.
A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paisa to produce is sold for NINE rupees, and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy.
We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products only for next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this, the rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future.
What you can do about it?
1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.
2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.
Each individual should become a leader for this awareness.
This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don’t need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.

see, majority of our forign currency reserve is spent in for the import of petroll and diesel. If we, as citizens of this wonderful country, will make a rule, that as far as possible, we will be using bicycles whenever possible. Especially Collegians, daily office goers with sedentary life style, thus it will help to 1. Less burdain on our forign exchange,
2. Less pollution
3.+ve effect on individual health.

I have traveled trough out Europe and Understood, to improve our personal value our Nation stood stand in top among the world countries. That means financially very strong along with other important policies.
it is like we save money in our family.if we spend money unnecessarily by buying unwanted things we will drain out of money.And our next door neighbor who saved money will buy a new house or a better car.The society will start seeing him as a more successful. This should be extrapolated to the national level and we can understand the picture.
Please Do not give money to the Foreigners, they will grab our money in what all ways they could and will try to act smart on us neglecting us.But the quality of our goods must be improved.
companies should understand that Indians are ready to choose Indian,but they should be supported.For eg what Tata is doing is good.Providing good quality..we have good business leaders like wipro, infosys and many others.

Well Individual preferences should be respected, but burgers are not good for health, and the same holds true for cold-drinks(in there present well-known form).
They remain they biggest cause of killer diseases..!
Indian economy has lot to do with it’s internal design as well, which we all can agree with (and atleast to me it appears; this article didn’t deal with those),making it more of a polemic view rather than an academic view–making it a touch closer to right wing political views!
But Cold-drinks and Burgers dont cause any good to health, and if avoiding the same also causes good to our economy than it should be cool as well.
yes, i agree with the statements, i am NRI, and sending money as much as possible, this may help our nation, if every NRi will send there part , think how much huge amt it can be.

I appreciate your concern. You can go a step further urging people to be more frugal as this helps protect the environment. Less consumption means less production which in turn means less exploitation of natural resources and less pollution leading to better health.
Our ancestors harped on living a simple life for the sake of protecting the environment. Go out and educate the young who seem to be lost and think that every thing coming from west is best whereas west is now turning to Indian traditions to gain happiness.
I never take soft drinks, do not use after shaves, hardly ever use soap on face.

I can without any hesitation say that 80% of the Indians are not aware of what is happening when they buy products of multinationals. We Indians have a a belief that anything foreign is good. Therefore, I think that this message requires to be made public and steps to be taken to inject and inculcate young Indians
