Social Life

A Wired Campus
There are 1,653 University-owned computers networked on campus, with an additional 533 in academic computer labs. There is Internet access throughout campus and in each residence hall room, with wireless access available in most areas as well.


Athletics
The Polar Bears compete in the NCAA Division III-Ohio Athletic Conference. There are 21 varsity sports (eleven for men and ten for women), and nearly as many club and intramural sports.

Setting
Scenic, beautiful, modern campus on nearly 300 acres with 31 major buildings. ONU is a safe, scenic, modern campus that covers nearly 300 acres in a town of 5,000 residents. The town of Ada provides a small town atmosphere that compliments the friendly environment found on campus. Services include restaurants such as McDonald's, Subway, Taco Bell, and Northern on Main Café, pizzerias, Rite Aid pharmacy, grocery, banks and a 15-mile drive to Lima malls, shopping and other cultural opportunities. Larger metropolitan cities (Columbus, Dayton, Toledo and Ft. Wayne, IN) are within easy driving distance
